During my time at Colonial Heritage Golf Club, I aimed to elevate club operations and foster an inclusive, productive work environment. My tenure as General Manager covered all aspects of club operations, including Food & Beverage, golf, and clubhouse management. I led a diverse team, and our inclusive culture naturally reflected our commitment to fair treatment across all positions.
The feedback from members and residents was generally positive, and I believe that many appreciated the changes implemented during my time there. Some of the leadership staff I put in place remain, ensuring a level of continuity and stability.
One area I wish to address is my role in bringing Up to Par (UTP) to the table as a management option for the club. My hope was to leverage UTP’s potential to allow me to return and bring my vision for the club to life, without the previous pushback I’d encountered. Unfortunately, circumstances did not align to make that opportunity happen, and I extend my apologies to both the residents and Sharon Whitt for any unmet expectations. Sharon, whom I worked closely with, is a strong advocate for residents, and I believe she continues to serve as an asset to Colonial Heritage.
This experience was a period of resilience and adaptability for me, navigating both career transitions and operational challenges while staying focused on creating a positive member and resident experience.
BTW - Never saw my commission for helping get you the contract, Sean Taylor.
